For me, to be a favorite ______________ (fill in the blank: shirt, pair of pants, dress, sweater, shoulder bag, etc.) it must be comfortable, well-made, beautiful, interesting, and work with other things in my closet. We've kept these qualities in mind when choosing the lines -- and the individual items -- we've brought into our clothing area, whether a t-shirt or something more elegant.

We continue to find new lines and will update you as we evolve. The rest of this page will give you an idea of the designers we're working with now. Ranging from individual artists to low production and large commercial ventures, we've selected items that meet our "favorite" evaluation critera. We hope you agree. Gene Montesano and Barry Perlman were just a couple of guys who ran a jeans store. Then they got Lucky.

For the past eight years the two founders and owners have built Lucky Brand Dungarees into one of the denim market's hottest labels. They decided to create a jeans line with the quality of boutique European jeans -- but made in the United States. They wanted to design a line, in other words, that they could wear. And while many new jeans labels strive to be the hippest, Lucky simply wants to make a good jean.

"We're not trying to be cutting edge," said Montesano. "If kids want to wear Lucky, great. But we want to be worn by college professors too. We want to be the family brand." The Lucky boys say the difference is in the details: the "Lucky You" slogan is on the fly, unusual stitching techniques, and pocket linings, zippers, rivets and shirt buttons that sport the Lucky cloverleaf.

In 1991 Mod-O-Doc launched its first sportswear collection in the United States. Sophisticated men and women’Äôs styling inspired by exquisite soft fabrics, beautiful, vibrant colors and fresh new looks. Subtle and understated change remain consistent by the designer through out the collection.

Mod-O-Doc is a West Coast Casual Lifestyle Company based in Southern California. It remains true to the philosophy of its founders that good living establishes greater balance and comfort in life. The collection is all about comfort, style and function while never compromising the integrity of the brand.
